Description:

We are looking for a Senior Gameplay Programmer II to lead our Project Baxter programming team here in Stockholm.
This is a crucial member of the project and overall tech teams. You will lead by example by guiding, coaching and mentoring the Gameplay Programming team, whilst also taking on some tasks yourself across many different aspects of a game; be it player movement, weapon systems, sound implementation, network, support systems, game state machines, controllers and more.
Furthermore, you are a team player that embraces the idea of working across disciplines to reach the goals set by Production towards the creation of a high quality product.
Project Baxter is a cooperative action game set in the world of Dungeons & Dragons. Inspired by our love of tabletop RPGs and built from the ground up in Unreal Engine 5, we will embrace cutting edge technology to create entertaining and emergent gameplay scenarios. Project Baxter is set to launch on all major platforms in 2026.
Please note, this role must be based in Stockholm with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Multiple years of proven experience in a similar Senior/Lead role on a AA+ game project;
  • Proven experience working with Unreal Engine 4 and/or 5;
  • Experience providing feedback, guiding, coaching and mentoring less experienced programmers.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Gameplay Programming team on Project Baxter by providing feedback, guiding, coaching and mentoring the team;
  • Take on more challenging programming tasks yourself across many different aspects of a game; be it player movement, weapon systems, sound implementation, network, support systems, game state machines, controllers and more;
  • Act as Gameplay Programming point of contact within the project and towards Production communicating progress and foreseeing and resolving any future issues;
  • Collaborate with other craft Leads to drive towards our product goals.
