A role within Enterprise Growth Initiatives means helping Target build beyond the core and create future focus for the organization. You will be part of a team of hybrid thinkers, actively leveraging each other’s skills and knowledge, with a bias to deliver timely business impact. From exploration to activation, you will accelerate and validate new concepts that differentiate the guest experience and generate new revenue streams. Whether exploring new business models designed to meet guest needs or commercializing and integrating new growth back into the organization, you will ensure success by rapidly applying your expertise and fostering an entrepreneurial culture while leveraging the benefit of a large organization’s knowledge and resources.

As a Lead Growth Manager, you will work strategically and collaboratively to identify, develop, and incubate new growth opportunities for Target. This could include (but is not limited to):

  • Drive project workstreams to identify and develop business cases for innovative solutions that address unmet consumer needs while ensuring financial viability and operational feasibility.
  • Leverage primary (qualitative and quantitative) and secondary (desktop) research techniques to evaluate macro trends and broader emerging themes to identify areas of opportunity and consumer needs
  • Synthesize key consumer problems or unmet needs from research into insights that create potential paths for new solutions
  • Collaboratively develop new solutions through human-centered design thinking, concepting and ideation techniques to generate bold opportunities and solutions
  • Define learning plans and experiments to test critical hypotheses and validate the riskiest assumptions; develop prototypes (in various forms and fidelities, from digital to physical) to evaluate desirability of potential solutions as needed
  • Translate evidence and insights into clear business cases, articulating consumer desirability, financial viability, and operational feasibility for executive decision-making
  • Develop clear, compelling narratives and presentations for C-suite, board level presentations, and executive briefings
  • Collaborate, motivate and coordinate with internal teams, cross-functional partners, and/or external partners to achieve stated goals (e.g., developing prototype, running experiments)
  • Participate in continuous team improvement including advancing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts, fostering connections and relationships across the enterprise, and demonstrating individual drive and initiative
