Your Profile:
- You have a high school diploma or equivalent
- You possess basic computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- You have a valid minimum G class License – willing to upgrade!
- You possess a clean drivers abstract
- You possess a clean vulnerable sector search
- You have excellent customer service experience
- You are highly organization with strong communication skills
- You are able to commit to 30+ hours a week, Monday – Saturday – depending on the needs of the operations.
Responsibilities:
YOUR ROLE:
Reporting to the Transit Operations Supervisor, the Lead Hand/Driver is responsible for assisting the Supervisor with daily operations, vehicle switch-outs in addition to their scheduled driving shifts. The position requires the ability to work within a number of spheres of operation including both on the road and in the office. The position requires an understanding of administrative components of the operation and requires the ability to work on computer platforms such as Microsoft.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain paperwork and timesheets/vacations are required
- Perform daily circle checks on spare vehicles and are prepared to switch off broken-down vehicles or complete a run-on last-minute notice
- Immediately report and document all injuries, collisions or property damage that occurs
- Perform safety blitzes or road observations on drivers at the direction of the Operations Supervisor
- Immediate point of contact for resolutions of issues affecting daily operations or escalate to Supervisor level if needed
- Assist with issues involving IT equipment such as tablets and smart card readers
- Available to assist with other duties as outlined by Transit Supervisor
