Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

As an Lead Innovation Researcher within Hangar 51’s Rapid Development Team, you’ll be instrumental in driving business impact through in-depth industry analysis and research.
In addition to your analytical duties, you will lead a small team producing high-quality insights and reports on innovation and technology topics in the world of aviation, positioning IAG as thought leaders in the aviation industry.
You will be responsible for authoring and coordinating the creation of white papers, industry articles, and other publications that showcase IAG’s research and innovation capabilities.
Working closely with stakeholders within Innovation and AI.iag and across the organisation including CTO and CDIOs, you’ll lead research initiatives, coordinate the IAG Research Hub, and promote best practices in research and design to drive innovation and business growth.

KNOWLEDGE SHARING AND COLLABORATION INTERNALLY AND EXTERNALLY:

  • Share knowledge and insights on customer behaviour and preferences to inform product development and innovation strategies.
  • Communicate and disseminate research findings and insights effectively to internal stakeholders, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
  • Engage with external partners and industry stakeholders to exchange insights and contribute to thought leadership in the aviation innovation space.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in conducting industry analysis, market research, and competitive intelligence, preferably in the aviation or technology sector.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex data and information into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey research findings clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
  • Experience with research tools and methodologies, including qualitative and quantitative research techniques, survey design, and data analysis.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects and priorities effectively while maintaining attention to detail and quality.Design solutions to ensure outcomes are measureable, in terms of NPS; revenue, effiencies, or other key metrics which provide actionable insights.
    The role is based in one of the airline Head Office locations in the Group, and travel to others will be required at times.
