WHAT YOU WILL DO - Provide behavioral science lectures and discussions. - Recruit and coordinate outside presenters and provide other educational strategies. - Attend statewide Behavioral Scientist meetings with other Indiana Family Medicine Residency Programs. - Participate in quality improvement projects or other research pertaining to Behavioral Health. - Conduct consultations and co-counseling sessions with residents and Family Practice Center (FPC) patients. - Orient 1st year residents and conduct monthly support groups for the emotional/psychological aspects of residency. - Conduct semi-monthly support group for 2nd and 3rd year residents. - Provide psychological assessment and counseling to patients referred from residents and faculty. - Participate in home visits alongside residents. - Develop and implement graduate psychology practicum training program. - Supervise graduate psychology trainees on a weekly basis. - Co-chair the Physician Wellness Committee. WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED - Clinical experience and teaching experience to provide residents with fundamental behavioral health skills and knowledge. - Maintain appropriate professional licensure, malpractice insurance, professional memberships, hospital privileges, and continuing education. - Exercise safe judgement in decision making. - Demonstrate tact and understanding when dealing with others. Respond in a positive manner to constructive criticism. Qualifications - Required Doctorate - 4 years Clinical experience providing psychological services Preferred - 3 years Psychological report writing with the pediatric population Preferred - 2 years Clinical supervision Preferred - Health Service Provider in Psychology (HSPP) - .
