Lead Interior Designer
Nóírín Brady Interiors is seeking experienced and talented Lead Interior Designers to join our growing team. We are looking for a dynamic individual with a passion for design, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven ability to manage projects, teams, and client relationships effectively. The ideal candidate will hold an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Interior Architecture or Architecture and have a minimum of three years of solid professional experience in interior design, project coordination, and overseeing design implementation. This position involves close collaboration with internal teams, external consultants, and clients under the creative vision of our Creative Director.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Familiarity with 3D modeling programs, such as 3DS Max, is advantageous.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Architecture or Architecture.
- At least three years of hands-on experience managing projects, producing tender and construction drawings, and seeing projects through from concept to completion.
- Exceptional technical drawing and detailing skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, including mentoring junior team members.
- Proven track record of effective project management, including budget oversight and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent client relations and client management skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain strong, positive relationships.
- In-depth understanding of interior architecture and building structures.
- Excellent organizational skills and an eye for detail.
- Ability to work autonomously, contribute innovative ideas, and collaborate within a team.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
- Based in Loughrea, Galway, or willing to relocate, with full eligibility to work in Ireland.
Role and Responsibilities
- Leadership: Lead, motivate, and support the design team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Project Management: Oversee multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, establishing strong working relationships, managing expectations, and ensuring their vision is reflected in the final design.
- Client Management: Provide consistent communication, manage feedback and approvals, and maintain trust and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare detailed tender and construction drawing packages for premium residential and commercial projects.
- Select and specify FF&E to align with project requirements and design intent.
- Develop and deliver professional presentations, ensuring all design documentation aligns with NBI standards.
- Oversee the production of construction documents and ensure their accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Transform conceptual designs and mood boards into fully realized interiors.
- Monitor compliance with building regulations and ensure adherence to relevant standards.
- Manage projects from initial concept through to final delivery, maintaining a focus on budget and quality.
- Attend site meetings, oversee on-site implementation, and troubleshoot challenges as needed.
- Create 3D visuals or work with 3D specialists to produce high-quality renderings.
- Contribute to studio improvements and support the growth of the business.
