REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

  • Successfully completed studies in (business) informatics, business administration or comparable (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Relevant professional experience in a comparable function (at least 8 years), preferably in the aviation industry
  • Several years of proven management experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills in the areas of conflict resolution, consensus building and leadership
  • Excellent diplomatic skills
  • Fluent and business fluent in written and spoken German and English
  • Strong ability to fully build and continuously develop (internal and external) customer relationships, evaluate customer satisfaction and derive measures to increase it
  • Ability to take a holistic view of important IT and business topics, to develop and accept challenges
  • Inventiveness and ability to drive topics forward in new ways
  • Strong ability to analyse situations and make strategic, tactical and operational decisions
  • Excellent process management skills
  • Proven experience in implementing process change, especially digital transformation
  • Skills and proven experience in project management
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical thinker, team player and problem solver

Responsibilities:

As the strategic contact person for operations, technical and administration, the IT Lead Business Partner forms the interface between the specialist departments and the IT organization.

  • Head of the department and management of staff
  • Responsible for holistic IT consulting for the specialist departments
  • Interface to internal IT and external service providers and development of a profitable network
  • Sparring partner for the supported business units in order to optimally support the further development of existing and new processes and business models with the help of IT (solution design)
  • Independently recording and communicating IT requirements from the divisions (requirements management) with existing or yet-to-be-developed IT solutions and services
  • Introduction and optimization of IT demand management methods and processes (incl. IT resource perspective)
  • Initiating the continuous improvement and strategic design of the IT service portfolio and IT standards in line with customer requirements
  • Supporting the business areas in close cooperation with the process, project and IT experts to develop holistic and sustainable solutions (IT transformation)
  • Management of IT projects at a local and global level with a high value contribution for one of the departments supported
  • Support in the development of IT decision papers for management boards in cooperation with the specialist departments
  • Supporting the implementation of tender procedures and the evaluation of suitable IT solutions
  • Supporting the application of and compliance with IT governance, e.g. with regard to IT strategy, architecture and security/compliance requirements; introducing new requirements to the IT Governance Board
  • Creating transparency for the supported departments regarding services in the IT project business (incl. backlog) and IT operations
  • Overview and knowledge of IT contracts and IT SLAs and their further development
  • Willingness to conduct internal workshops and training sessions and to take part in relevant qualifications for this purpose
