Job Description Summary
Provide dedicated support to the Legal, Compliance and Ethics (LCE) department through a broad range of legal operational tasks related to processes, business activities, technology, and people. With an eye toward process improvement, identify, implement, and maintain innovative processes and systems to improve the efficiency and qualify of LCE’s services and maximize the team’s ability to grow and protect the Company.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to the 12 core competencies of Legal Operations: Strategic Planning, Financial Management, Vendor Management, Cross Functional Alignment, Technology & Process Support, Service Delivery & Alternative Support Models, Organizational Design & Support Management, Communications, Data Analytics, Litigation Support & IP Management, Knowledge Management, Information Governance and Records Management.
  • Work independently; expected to determine how to accomplish work assignments. Exercise independent judgment and initiative and provide guidance to others. Lead and manages multiple legal operations core competencies. May supervise others.
  • Examples of work: Create and provides analysis with reporting and process improvements, follow pre-existing procedures as well as recommend and implement improvements with matters of increased complexity; utilize systems to conduct research.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business field or equivalent education/experience
  • Seven years of experience in a law firm, in-house legal department, or comparable experience
  • Experience using legal technology
  • Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Communication skills for daily contact with department staff and internal and external customers, including senior leaders
  • Ability to work under pressure of deadlines
  • Knowledge and experience with core legal systems such as matter management, e-Billing, document management and knowledge management
  • Process improvement experience
  • Proficiency using MS Office tools; SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Word

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project management experience

Compensation:
Please note that the compensation information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to applicable pay transparency and compensation posting laws. It is estimated based on what a successful candidate might be paid in certain Company locations.
The Salary for this position generally ranges between $96,000 - $110,000 annually. This range is an estimate, based on potential qualifications and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
Bonus Eligibility:
This position is also typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at Company Discretion.
