Title: Lead Manager Communications & PR
Position Summary: Responsible for helping develop, implement, and execute complex public and media relations programs in support of the AT&T’s public sector business.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- 6 to 10 years of experience in communications, journalism, public relations or related field.
- Extensive experience with public sector business and/or communications around government contracts. Experience with education and health care spaces also a plus.
- Media relations and issues management experience.
- Superior writing, editing, and organizational skills, ability to respond in a timely manner to urgent requests and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience communicating with senior leadership to provide counsel and recommendations on key initiatives.
- Proven ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
Our Lead Manager Communication & PR earn between $105,600 - $158,400 of TSR. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.

Responsibilities:
- Lead content development for communication plans, messaging, media statements and blog posts in support of the company’s public sector business.
- Support media relations efforts on key initiatives related to the company’s public sector business, including engagement with reporters, writing media statements and in-depth research on related issues.
- Must maintain a working-level understanding of the company’s priorities and macro news environment to ensure effective contributions to communications planning and execution.
- Serve as a trusted adviser to internal business partners who need to be aware of upcoming stories, issues and events that may impact the company’s reputation.
- Collaborate effectively and efficiently with peers at all levels across business units and work on complex problems requiring detailed analysis of unique factors.
Education: Bachelor of Arts degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
