MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school graduate or GED required / Associates or BA/BS degree preferred
- 3+ years of experience packaging goods for global distribution and warehouse experience.
- 3 + years of experience as a lead supporting other associates.
- 3 + years of experience operating material handling equipment (i.e., forklift)
- Must be computer literate in MS Office, Excel, or other relevant packages.
- Detailed oriented with good written and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and evaluate work requirements to satisfy internal and external customers.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- HAZMAT packing certified (DOT/IATA/IMDG).
- Must have a high sense of urgency and complete the daily workload.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily operations with receiving, packing, and shipping customer orders.
- Assign daily tasks to the team and assist wherever necessary to complete daily tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 75lbs consistently while packing export orders.
- Assist in loading trucks/containers
- Conduct weekly Gemba and Safety walkthroughs and address any issues noted for resolution.
- Work with the warehouse inventory team regarding any shortages.
- Assure orders are packed according to DOT/IATA and IMDG regulations.
- Assure each team member is adhering to all safety policies within the warehouse.
- Assist office staff with packing instructions, data entry, keying in packed orders and processing daily shipments while using DHL, FedEx, or UPS websites
