Responsibilities:

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop multi discipline plant concepts and layouts.
  • Review of vendor drawings and design data.
  • Manage and provide support to the project team to ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, standards, and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with the project team, clients and to other project stakeholders.
  • Produce discipline specific deliverables that meet Primero Groups, the client’s and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Produce project drafting deliverables ensuring quality, schedule and integrity requirements are met.
  • Review and provide feedback on vendor drawings and interdisciplinary design data.

WHAT YOU ‘CAN DO’

  • 10+ years’ experience in mining, mineral processing mechanical plant design.
  • Previous experience in 3D modelling and drafting in a relevant CAD package. Autodesk preferred although not essential.
  • Proficiency in the layout of process plant equipment.
  • Competency in design checking will be highly regarded.
  • Ability to review and provide constructive feedback on vendor drawings and interdisciplinary design data.
  • Solid understanding of statutory and industry regulations and HSE practices.
  • Advanced knowledge and practical application of design theories, principles and practices.
  • Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively within a multi-discipline team environment.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously or as a part of team.
  • Strong problem-solving and planning skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong attention to detail.
  • Site experience during construction and commissioning desirable although not essential.
