Description:
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Strong Mechanical Design Engineering experience.
- Engineering degree in related discipline (or extensive mechanical design experience without a degree).
- Knowledge of mechanical related Defence Standards.
Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the Mechanical Design Engineering SME across the business.
- Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Thermal Analysis (CFD).
- Analyse and justify mechanical designs and component selections.
- Resolve mechanical issues across various programme stages.
- Ensure baseline and change control activities follow Configuration Management (CM) processes.
- Provide mechanical/electro-mechanical design support for single or multiple programmes.
- Lead the mechanical team to ensure adherence to processes and requirements.
- Produce, review, and approve mechanical technical documentation (drawings, documents, and Bill of Materials).
