Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO

As Lead for Mechanical Engineering, you will lead a talented team of engineers, guiding the design, analysis, and development of mechanical systems for SMRs. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, contributing your expertise to deliver high-quality, cutting-edge mechanical designs that drive our mission forward.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers to drive project success.
  • Manage mechanical engineering tasks for SMR systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Oversee the design, prototyping, and testing of mechanical components and systems.
  • Collaborate with R&D teams to integrate mechanical designs into the broader SMR development process.
  • Drive innovation and optimization of mechanical solutions to improve efficiency and safety.
  • Communicate technical requirements and progress to stakeholders, including senior management.

You will be part of a highly skilled team with a can-do attitude. We value personnel chemistry and strive to create a workplace where you enjoy coming to. There are however a few things that we think will help you to succeed in this role, these are:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 9+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on FEM calculations, 3D CAD design (we use Solidworks), and large-scale component manufacturing; ideally within the nuclear, energy, or high-tech industries.
  • Leadership skills with experience managing engineering teams are a plus.
  • Broad knowledge of mechanical engineering with expertise in mechanical design, analysis, and simulation software.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control processes in nuclear or related industries.
  • A passion for innovation and solving complex engineering challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written
  • Fluency in Swedish is a plu
