We are expanding our capabilities and are seeking a dedicated Lead Mechanical Manager to lead our mechanical engineering team in delivering complex projects with precision and efficiency.
As the Lead Mechanical Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical engineering, ensuring that the project is executed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. You will manage a diverse team of engineers and work closely with other departments to align project goals with organizational objectives.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will have:
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Extensive experience (typically 5+ years) in mechanical engineering, with a significant focus on leadership and management roles.
- Proven experience in the energy or power systems sector, particularly related to mechanical systems and infrastructure.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of engineers.
- Exceptional project management skills, including experience in budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulations concerning mechanical engineering and safety protocols.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of successfully addressing engineering challenges.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive attitude towards process improvements and the implementation of innovative engineering solutions.
- Professional engineering certification (e.g., Chartered Engineer) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing the mechanical engineering site team, providing mentorship, training, and support to engineers and technical staff.
- Developing and implementing mechanical engineering strategies and standards that align with company objectives and industry best practices.
- Overseeing the design, analysis, and implementation of mechanical systems for power and energy data centre projects.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant industry codes, standards, regulations, and safety requirements in all mechanical engineering practices.
- Coordinating with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery from conception through to completion.
- Managing project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Conducting regular performance evaluations and facilitating professional development opportunities for team members.
- Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and proactive problem-solving within the mechanical engineering team.
- Engaging with stakeholders, clients, and vendors to gather requirements, address concerns, and communicate project progress.
