    What We Need: We are currently seeking an exemplary Lead Medical Assistant that can act as a mentor and role model to clinical staff. They will provide leadership and support to staff members and externs by showcasing excellent communication, attention to detail, and focus on high-quality patient care. A sense of urgency while maintaining calm and collection is an important attribute.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities: The duties will be performed in accordance with policy and procedure, the standard of care, and in accordance with state certification. The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Complete full triage and vitals, and assist in nursing procedures under the supervision of an AFC provider
  • Knowledge of procedures and protocols for occupational medicine and physicals
  • Skill Sets needed at AFC: Triaging, vaccinations, blood draws, drug screens, set up of EKGs
  • Experience using EMR and ensuring up-to-date patient records.
  • Ensure that the quality and timeliness of clinic opening and closing tasks are maintained
  • Maintain instruments and prepare sterilization as required.
  • Process messages from patients and front office staff to AFC providers accordingly
  • Maintain clear documentation of all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.)
  • Assisting the Medical Front Office Receptionist with duties such as scheduling and checking in patients and completing insurance verification as needed.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees, patients, and providers with complications, questions, or protocol clarification
  • All other duties as assigned by the Clinic Manager.
