We are currently seeking a permanent full-time Lead MRI technologist to join our team.
JOB SUMMARY:
As the Lead MRI Technologist at Elysian Imaging and Diagnostics, you will play a pivotal role in supporting accurate diagnoses and exceptional patient care. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives on creating a comfortable experience for patients while performing high-quality MRI scans. Your ability to combine technical expertise with a patient-centered approach and leadership abilities will contribute to the high standards of care that Elysian is known for.
Lead Technologist Key Responsibilities:
- Operate MRI equipment to capture high-quality images that assist in accurate patient diagnoses.
- Address patient concerns and explain MRI procedures in a clear, reassuring manner.
- Create a calming environment for patients, ensuring their comfort throughout the imaging process.
- Collaborate effectively with radiologists and healthcare professionals to communicate findings, address quality control issues, and protocol adaptions.
- Troubleshoot MRI scanners and peripheral equipment to minimize downtime and ensure seamless operation.
- Adhere to patient safety protocols, including pre-screening for contraindications and aseptic injection techniques.
- Mentor and train new technologists, contributing to a supportive and knowledgeable team environment.
- Maintain composure and professionalism in high-stress situations, ensuring excellent patient and team interactions.
- Maintain and create policies, procedures, and processes for the MRI department within the scope of DAP.
- Develop and maintain quality control and related imaging assessment procedures.
- Communicate with current and potential vendors, clients, and suppliers.
- Maintain staffing requirements for the department including assisting with recruiting, future planning, and scheduling.
- Purchase and maintain MR department supplies.
- Creation/modification of protocols in Siemens scanner as needed.
- Performs other related duties as required.
