Description:
This is a great opportunity for a full time Band 6 nurse to join our team on a new 8 bedded Female Enhanced Care Unit, based in Derby. This is an exciting time to work for Derbyshire Healthcare. We are currently undertaking a programme to create purpose-built facilities to improve the safety, privacy and dignity for our adult acute mental health patients, by eradicating dormitory accommodation.
Audrey House-ECU is an 8 bedded unit which will be focused on therapeutic interventions and will deliver care to the national standard. There will be a focus on wider MDT working, Trauma informed care/culture and formulation. The unit is due to open in approximately December 2024, therefore this will be a great opportunity for you to be part of shaping the service and building the team along with the Ward Manager and other senior leaders.

Providing strong clinical leadership, ensuring evidence-based practice is delivered to improve the quality of and shape responsive services.
Monitoring and ensure maintenance of standards of care that support safe high quality practice throughout the twenty-four hour period.
Supporting junior colleagues within the multi-disciplinary process.
Supervising and promoting staff development.

Ensure a high clinical profile that includes the provision of direct nursing care, with a global overview of all care packages and clinical activity within a defined area.
Embed the Clincial Model and the Operational pathways for PICU and deputise in the absence of the Ward Manager.
Provide strong clinical leadership and support to junior colleagues.
Provide regular clinical supervision for junior colleagues in line with Trust policy.
Facilitate junior colleagues to deliver high quality assessment / formulation / person-centred care planning / risk assessment and management is firmly embedded within clinical practice and in line with best practice evidence.

Act as a role model and as a senior clinician to promote high standards of professionalism representing both the Trust and the profession in the exercise of their duties
