Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated nurse leader to join our integrated safeguarding team, to lead and develop the adult safeguarding service. You will have sound safeguarding adult skills and knowledge and exceptional leadership skills. In collaboration with Dudley Integrated Health Care Trust, the current safeguarding adult team is expanding and seeking new ways of working to develop a proactive and visible safeguarding adult service. We are seeking a leader with vision, passion and a can do attitude. To support with additional workstreams, we would particularly welcome people with a background in safeguarding and mental health. In return you will be supported by a caring and motivated team who care for each other as much as they do their patients.
To provide clinical leadership and operational management to the Trust Safeguarding Adult Team. To ensure that the safeguarding team delivers safe and effective safeguarding adult services within the Trust and that the Trust is an effective partner within the safeguarding adults and domestic abuse agendas, across Dudley and the Black Country. To work in partnership with Health Commissioners, Local Authorities, providers and other statutory agencies, to ensure that arrangements are in place to meet the Trust’s obligations under the Care Act 2014 and Domestic Abuse Act 2021. To deputise for the Head of Safeguarding as required and will represent the Trust at external events and committees. To provide specialist advice, training and supervision to all Trust staff and work closely with Safeguarding Childrens Team to ensure there is an effective and robust interface between children and adult safeguarding. To work closely with the Trust’s Lead Consultant for Safeguarding Adults, the Designated Nurses in the Integrated Care Board and establish close, collaborative working practices with wider partners and agencies. To work alongside the Lead Nurse for Safeguarding Children to lead on the Trust Domestic Abuse Strategy and implement improvements to the Trust response in recognition and support for victims of domestic abuse. To work collaboratively with the Trust Lead for Mental Health in respect of integrated safeguarding and mental health vulnerabilities and pathways.
