An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Occupational Therapist to join the Wallasey and West Wirral CMHT
The successful candidate will offer clinical leadership and support to the Occupational Therapists across the service, alongside supporting with promoting the role of occupational therapy within the wider MDT and ongoing development of the Occupational Therapy pathway within the service. They will also offer expert clinical knowledge to support with occupational therapy assessment, intervention, and evaluation across the service footprint.
We are looking for an experienced and well motivated Occupational therapist with excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills who has previous community experience to join our multidisciplinary teams.
As the role involves the assessment and treatment of patient’s within their own home, access to transport for work purposes is essential.
This post is based in the Wallasey CMHT
Providing expert assessment and interventions to patients within their own environment using a broad range of therapeutic assessment techniques.
To oversee and support a varied clinical caseload and provide person centred and needs led care.
The supervision of junior staff and students.
To provide leadership to Occupational Therapists working within the CMHT.
To provide clinical leadership, expertise and advice to the wider MDT.
To support and lead on quality improvement and represent CWP in appropriate internal and external forums.
CWP provides health and care services for local people, including mental health, learning disability, community physical health and all-age disability care – including the provision of three GP surgeries.
