JOB DESCRIPTION

Join our Process Plant at Macraes as a Lead Operator! This role works closely with the Shift Supervisor to ensure optimal performance of the processing plant.

  • Act as Process Shift Supervisor and provides cover for all areas as and when required.
  • Operate all areas in accordance with the critical operating sheet, training manuals and standard operating procedures.
  • Measure and make adjustments to optimise the plant within set ranges of the critical variable sheet.
  • Help manage and coordinate maintenance activities and shutdown schedules as required, including the pre and post shutdown scheduling meetings.
  • Assist with mechanical/ electrical tasks as required ensuring maximum availability of the Processing Plant
  • Develop and help maintain SOP’s, IRSs and Training Manuals for safe operation of equipment associated with process plant.
  • Ensure all permits are issued and closed off in a timely manner.
  • Support Shift Coordinator with pre-start safety meetings and monthly safety meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous Supervisory experience, with a demonstrated capability to train, coach or mentor staff would be highly regarded
  • OSH approved Forklift license, or similar would be well regarded.
  • Full and Current Driver Licence, ability to drive manual vehicles is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in processing plant, or similar, is essential
