Role Overview: As the People Insights and HRIS Lead, you will lead the management, development, system integration, and enhancements of our new HRIS (Workday). You will work closely with colleagues in People & Culture and Technology teams to ensure we maximise the value of the system, produce clean data, and generate valuable insights to inform actions and decision-making. Your data-driven recommendations will enable us to develop and deliver our people strategy and optimise our workforce.
At the RSC we embrace flexibility and offer hybrid working, which means our teams come together when they need to collaborate.
Although this role is contractually based at our Cambridge or London office, you will be able to work from home within the UK, with the expectation that you will attend the office as needed for your role.
In this role it is expected that you will attend the office 1 day per week. If you need flexible working arrangements, please outline this in your application. Travel to both the Cambridge and London will be required for this role.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Advanced knowledge of Workday technology: Expertise in applying Workday technology, ideally within a global organisation.
- Problem-solving abilities: Ability to deal with complex and varied problems and come up with appropriate solutions.
- Vendor management: Able to lead conversations with external vendors around technology requirements.
- Proactive approach: Able to identify opportunities to derive value and identify potential technology issues before they arise and put in place measures to exploit or address them.
- Influencing skills: Strong influencing skills to drive initiatives and gain stakeholder buy-in.
- Planning and project management: Strong planning and project management skills are essential; manage time well, recognise priorities, and accomplish all objectives.
- Communication skills: Good communication skills – able to communicate across cultures at all levels.

Responsibilities:
- HRIS Management: Own and enhance the Workday HRIS, advise on setup and implementation, lead functional configuration changes, and manage the development roadmap and budget.
- Strategic Workforce Planning: Develop and maintain workforce planning capabilities and provide data-driven recommendations for optimisation.
- People Strategy Development: Shape and optimise the organisation’s people strategy with data insights and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Risk Management: Identify and report on workforce risks, and support risk mitigation strategies with data insights.
- Data Infrastructure and Tools: Develop workforce analytics models and metrics, recommend data collection and analytics tools, and ensure data quality and security.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, present data visualisations and recommendations to leadership, and promote data literacy within the team and organisation.
