Description:

This role is only open to applicants that currently work within an NHS Trust within the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care System (HIOW ICS).
Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit an ambitious and experienced pharmacist to provide strategic leadership to our pharmacy Aseptic Unit . We are an unlicensed unit operating under section 10 exemption.
The successful candidate will provide line management to identified pharmacy staff in order to ensure the effective operation of the Aseptic services and clinical Cancer service within the Pharmacy Business Unit and across the Trust.
The post holder will have joint responsibility with the other Senior Pharmacy Managers in supporting the Associate Director of Pharmacy and Medicines Optimisation in the overall leadership of the Pharmacy Business Unit, ensuring the Aseptic Unit service is effectively managed.
To act as the Accountable Pharmacist for the Aseptic Unit.
To ensure that all Aseptic Unit staff plan and prepare for regulatory inspections and audit and that any deficiencies highlighted as part of the
inspection are actioned and addressed in a timely manner.
To take the lead for the Trust on governance of safe parenteral administration of medicines.
To develop innovative systems of service delivery to improve the patient experience.
To ensure the highest standards of clinical care are continuously delivered.
To deputise for the Associate Director of Pharmacy and Medicines Management at a Trust, local, regional, or national level as required.
To participate in 7 day working patterns which includes weekend and Bank Holiday rotas.
Participate in Pharmacy On-Call service as required.
