DETAILS

  • Department: Inpatient
  • Schedule: Controlled Substance pharmacy technician position, with evening, weekend and holiday coverage. Hours:09:00 to 17:00
    07:00 to 15:30

06:30 to 15:00

  • Hospital: Ascension St. Agnes
  • Location: Baltimore, MD
  • Salary: $19.48-$29.22

Actual compensation offered will vary based on factors including applicable licenses, certifications, education, experience, location, qualifications and comparison with associates in similar roles.

REQUIREMENTS

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • One or more of the following required:
  • Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate’sdegree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specificexperience required.

Responsibilities:

Lead assigned staff in performing activities or task in pharmacy services.

  • Lead or coordinate shift operation of assigned activities, resources, and/or associate.
  • Serve as a technical or functional resource and perform similar duties with staff.
  • Assign, monitor and review progress of work.
  • Monitor and report compliance with policies and/or procedures.
  • Oversee and evaluate orientation and training of assigned associates.
  • May provide input in the review and evaluation of staff performance.
  • Oversee daily activities of the Pharmacy 3-Technicians under the direction of the pharmacist and management.
  • Participate in problem solving within the department.
  • Assist with specialty projects and tasks as assigned by Pharmacy Management.
