Description:

We’re looking for a valiant Lead PHP Developer to lead their own party of fearless developers into the depths of our codebase. This glorious quest is set to become a key part of our development team’s saga, and the bards will tell your tale for centuries.
As a Lead PHP Developer, you’ll play a key role in shaping our technical landscape, mentoring junior developers, and contributing to our mission of empowering in-game creators.

Requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • 4+ years of experience with PHP and Laravel, with a deep understanding of development approaches and design patterns
  • Proven experience mentoring and coaching junior developers
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
  • Proficiency in automated testing (PHPUnit, feature tests, etc.)
  • Experience with code reviews, technical discussions, and team leadership
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent planning skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong, unwavering spirit, able to resist the tempting whispers of cursed rings

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Develop robust PHP code to build new features and improve existing ones
  • Hire, mentor and guide junior developers, providing code reviews and technical guidance
  • Lead technical discussions and contribute to the development of our codebase
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and solve complex problems
  • Take ownership of a specific area of our codebase and lead a small team of developers
  • Destroy the cursed PHP ring in the depths of Mount Tebex
