ABOUT YOU

Our client is a very successful and highly regarded multi-disciplinary clinic offering services to their patients form three locations across Wiltshire. Our client seeks a Lead Podiatrist (flexible up to 37.5 hours pw) to join its clinics who will be contracted to travel and work from from any of their three locations (Devizes, Frome, Marlborough). We require an experienced podiatrist, ideally who has previously led a team of practitioners, or who feels they are ready to take the next step in their career to lead.

As an individual working at this clinic, our client would require the following;

  • A degree in Podiatry
  • A full driving license and access to your own vehicle is essential
  • Experience managing people in a clinical environment is desirable
  • To be open and coachable
  • The ability to find solutions to problems
  • The energy and drive to help us deliver our mission and inspire our patients
  • A passion for all things Podiatry and a desire to be challenged to be the best you can be

Maybe you are looking for a part time role? (retired and looking to keep your feet dipped in the water, or a parent working around childcare). Or perhaps you would prefer to work on a an associate basis? Potentially, you might prefer the option of only working from just one of the three clinics due to commute preferences? We would still love to hear from you and our client is open to discussions!

Responsibilities:

  • As a Podiatrist Team Leader, you will be a senior member of the Podiatry team, with responsibility for both managing your own caseload of patients and line managing a number of clinical team members across the business.
  • You will enjoy a varied caseload that includes various podiatry treatments, including Swift, Clearanail, nail surgery, and biomechanical assessments.
  • You will have a patient centred approach, inspiring, motivating and engaging them with our ‘Pain to Performance’ model to get them the best results.
  • You will have regular 1:1 meetings with your direct reports, where you will support, motivate, inspire, coach and mentor them. You’ll be responsible for supporting them with their wellbeing and helping them continue to improve their own performance.
  • You will be involved in coaching and training your colleagues, carrying out Peer Reviews, supporting the Podiatry Service Lead with the delivery of our in service training and delivering ad-hoc coaching sessions as required.
  • You will have regular 1:1’s with your own line manager and there will be plenty of opportunity for you to receive feedback on your own performance. You will have clear, meaningful goals to work towards and all the training and support you need to reach those goals.
  • Finally, let’s not forget that you will also be attending a social event or two (or three..) which will help you build relationships with the team and have fun!
Here is what the current Lead Pod has added to give you a first account insight of how our clients dynamic stands out from the norm amongst a multi disciplinary team.
“Working here means constantly learning and innovating, which is great for me as it’s what I love most about being in the Podiatry profession. Since day one, the team has always been very supportive and keen on taking on board any idea that could help us provide the best care for our patients. I really enjoy working in a team where everyone supports each other and we can learn from other clinical specialties”.
