Responsibilities:
HE ANGITŪTANGA | ABOUT THE ROLE
Supporting the Technical Operations team this role will maintain the content, process framework and support the design process for back-office modernisation projects. Taking a lead role, you will take a holistic view of business process design and framework development for the service.
Working across a large stakeholder group you’ll represent the BoDTS ensuring back-office designs meet customer needs as well as internal and external governance standards. Supporting the Business Analyst/Process Modelers (BA/PM) within the team you will ensure continuity, process boundaries and standards are met and the BA/PM’s are supported to become ‘train the trainers’ delivering process modelling capability uplift across government.
You will be responsible for;
- Maintaining the documentation to support the process modelling including style guide and release cycles
- Developing and designing the process framework for NZ AOG Back-office Designs in collaboration with Technical Operations team
- Collaborating with working groups on NZ AOG Back-office Designs
- Ensuring NZ AOG Back-office Designs are compliant with NZ Legislation and international best practice.
- Supporting the Manager Technical Operations with governance activities and reviewing updates and changes from the Business Analyst / Process Modelers
- Leading the facilitation of the customer centric process design with subject matter experts, end users and suppliers
- Liaising with business managers, end users and technical specialists, and respond to queries from them, to provide solutions for scope management problems
- Leading quality assurance reviews for as part of the governance design change requirements submitted by Business Analyst/Process Modelers
- Supporting daily operational activities of Business Analysts/Process Modelers
- Creating and maintaining the process models and reference material based on international best practice standards and taxonomy.
- Leading quality, timely and appropriately targeted training to users
- Support Business Analyst/Process Modelers and Manager Technical Operations on all facets of training
- Establishing and maintaining strong collaborative working relationship across the BDT Service teams.
- Promoting the benefits to suppliers with the Back-office Design validation opportunities.
- Working with a broad set of stakeholders including branch Change Advisory Board, Technical Advisory Board, IT Service Management, Business Intelligence Team, Back-office Modernisation Projects across government and the ARIS Community of Practice ANZ and NZ.
As a confident technical expert, you will lead and facilitate process design workshops and will enjoy working closely with communities of practice and subject matter experts across government. Able to adjust your communication skills to suit your audience you’re comfortable working with Suppliers to ensure compliance of back-office designs with the correct legislation and industry best practice. Accountable for administrating the business process framework supporting AoG Back-office Design and the New Zealand All of Government Common Process Model (CPM) you’ll possess;
- In depth business process design and/or business process architecture modelling expertise
- In depth experience with modelling / management tools e.g. ARIS or Signavio
- Experience developing a framework and taxonomy as a process lead
- Expert business analysis skills
- Best practice business analysis processes and tools
- An understanding of International standards for business process modelling
- In depth knowledge of national and international information management standards and governing legislation
- Ability to create fit for purpose training collateral and delivery user friendly targeted training to diverse participants
- Proven experience with facilitating and leading effective workshops online and in person
- Proven experience in providing high quality documentation and communications (verbal & written) within a project or programme
- Excellent relationship building skills and will ensure collaborative and inclusive relationships are built and managed across internal and external teams
