Lead Product Design Engineer

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

Samson is a global leading manufacturer of control valves and associated instrumentation, smart devices, and solutions for various process industries such as chemical, petrochemical, food & beverage, industrial gases, as well as many others.
The Lead Product Design Engineer will work with the product management team and production engineering team to design and develop valves and associated components for both existing product ranges as well as new product developments. The Lead Product Design Engineer will also contribute to relevant documentation such as dimensional drawings, product renderings, 3D models, and other product design-related tasks.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in a related mechanical engineering design field
• Experience in a leadership role is preferred

• Design and develop products new products based on project roadmaps and specifications
• Design and develop components for existing products for ETO (“Engineered to Order”) customer orders
• Coordinate with product managers and production engineers to evaluate product designs
• Perform testing and analysis to help improve product design
• Support in other engineering-related tasks as required
