Description:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Engineer for Seabed Intervention to join our Renewable Energy team on a permanent staff basis, located in our Aberdeen office. This role involves working on development of internal assets, studies, tenders and projects in the Offshore Energy market.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Higher Education Degree/Master/Bachelor (or equivalent) in relevant engineering or science subject but can be substituted for appropriate experience.
Minimum 8 years relevant in industry-related role
Trenching experience of offshore cables is essential
Management of other seabed intervention activities (i.e. rock installation) is advantageous.
Good knowledge of route engineering, survey and geotechnical understanding.
For applicants in the UK, chartership is preferable but can be substituted for appropriate experience.
Responsibilities:
Perform engineering tasks according to the Engineering Procedure and in a safe and accurately manner.
Delivery of commercially and technically optimized solutions that are aligned with the client and Company expectations and are fit for purpose.
Participate in offshore projects and lead as part of operation team.
Take ownership of planning and management of subcontractors.
Responsible for clients receiving sufficient documentation and updates on progress, within the given deadlines.
Seek to improve procedures and project documentation.
Liaise with HSEQS to ensure all project/tender specific HSEQS requirements are met and all necessary documentation is completed.
Guide Project Engineers within areas where experience/knowledge within a field/task is more extensive than others.
Take responsibility for managing a collective of individuals to deliver a scope.
Manage and complete internal engineering and execution deliverables for the successful operations.
Where required manage process for key-subcontracts ensuring all services are compliant and aligned to the project and team principles of quality and efficiency.
Awareness of contract and commercial implication of engineering on the projects and works being performed.
