Alstom has an immediate opening for an experienced lead planner that would like to take the next step in their career journey to join us as the Lead Project Planner in our Perth CBD office as we deliver an integrated solution for our client BHP.
Working on the BHP Rail Technology Project, you will develop and update schedules (both live and what-if) in accordance with Alstom’s procedures, contractual requirements and stakeholder inputs. You will lead regular project schedule review sessions, challenging project stakeholders’ assumptions about time performance and seeking solutions to the benefit of all stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead regular project schedule review sessions, challenging project stakeholders’ assumptions about time performance and seeking solutions to the benefit of all stakeholders.
  • Prepare and analyse schedule and progress reports, illustrating progress with relevant KPIs and the Earned Value Methodology (EVM).
  • Collaboratively determining the preferred course of action to realise project planning goals, facilitating agreements with each affected stakeholder including provision of the required support to optimise the solution.
  • Maintaining transparent communication with the project senior management team
  • Working diligently with the contracts team to eliminate any potential time related damages and penalties.
  • Identifying and taking action to build operational and strategic relationships with all stakeholders both internal and external.
