We are seeking a highly motivated Quality Engineer to join our talented team.As a Quality Engineer at QBECTech to develop innovative solutions for our clients in the automotive, pharmaceutical and banking sectors amongst other industries. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will directly impact the satisfaction of our customers and contribute to our continued success.
As a Quality Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement test plans and strategies for our accounting software products. You will conduct thorough testing, identify and report software issues, and work closely with developers to resolve them. Your excellent problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks will be essential for meeting deadlines and ensuring the highest level of quality in our software releases.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science & Engineering or Similar Field Required
  • 7-10 years of experience in any technical role.

Job Description

  • Participate in all phases of software testing including test planning, functional testing, regression testing, and designing test architecture.
  • Strong understanding of QA fundamentals, including life cycle and defect management.
  • Basic understanding of web technology test automation tools such as Selenium with Core Java (or C, C#, Java, Python, etc.).
  • Proficiency in web development technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, and related frameworks.
  • Good understanding of SQL databases.
  • Familiarity with Lean Agile environments and Agile teams.
  • Passion for technology, creative solutions, and a professional attitude.
  • A design thinking mentality.
  • Strong learning capability and a can-do attitude towards work.
  • Structured, quality-minded, social, and communicative.
  • Team-oriented, initiative-driven, and collaborative with the tech team.

REQUIREMENTS

Must Have:

  • Strong understanding of all phases of software testing, including test planning, functional testing, regression testing, and designing test architecture.
  • Understanding of API testing, including calling SOAP and REST using a Java or JavaScript framework (e.g., RestAssured).
  • Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, C#, etc.
  • Experience testing database levels of a product or application.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Comfortable working in the EST time zone.
  • Eligible to live and work in Ireland.
  • Knowledge of TOSCA DI – Tricentis Continuous Testing Platform.
