Serco is contracted to provide Total Facilities Management to the Defence Academy of the UK (DA). This prestigious establishment is responsible for post-graduate education and most of the command, staff, leadership, Defence management, acquisition, and technology training for members of the UK Armed Forces and MOD Civil Servants. Serco supports the DA as the MOD’s primary link with UK universities and international military educational institutions.
Serco have an exciting new role as a SSRC Lead Receptionist at the Defence Academy. The SSRC Lead receptionist will provide an efficient reception service facilitating entry of staff, students and visitors into the Defence Academy.
The post holder will report directly to the Central Services Manager for all immediate line management functions.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Provide reception service promptly to the general public, staff, service personnel and visitors to the Defence Academy Respond efficiently and effectively to requests of a wide-ranging nature from visitors, staff and students. Ensure clearances have been received so that the correct passes can be issued. Update and maintain filing systems. Submit Stationery orders for procurement. Attend relevant stakeholder meetings and communicate updates to the team and CS Manager.
Responsibilities:
Professional and engaging communication skills PC literate, with a good level of experience in MS Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Interpersonal skills
The Defence Academy sits within a beautiful and secure site which hosts 2 lakes and is surrounded by acres of scenic woodland.
