As a site-based recruitment specialist for Balfour Beatty, your primary role is to enable the seamless recruitment and mobilisation of resource for the Net Zero Teesside project. You will act as a recruitment expert, demonstrating your technical expertise within the Gas & Oil industry, sector-specific knowledge, and strong influence among stakeholders and hiring managers. Your responsibilities encompass the entire recruitment lifecycle, with a strong focus on project mobilisation and sourcing a diverse candidate pool.
What you’ll be doing
As a Lead Recruiter you will be focusing on;
CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE
- Ensure a ‘best in class’ candidate experience by responding to applicants promptly and supporting them through the recruitment journey, emphasising the project’s significance.
- Educate hiring managers on the critical role of creating a positive candidate experience to attract top talent for the project.
DATA & INSIGHT
- Maintain accountability for real-time updates in the ATS to ensure accurate tracking of project-related recruitment.
- Ensure data integrity and measure the effectiveness of the recruitment function in relation to project goals.
- Utilise recruitment metrics to influence strategies and decisions, ensuring alignment with project mobilization needs.
Who we’re looking for
The following qualities/experience are essential:
- Relevant recruitment experience within Gas & Oil industry, Energy sector, infrastructure or engineering.
- Proven experience in supporting large-scale project mobilisation through effective and diverse recruitment strategies.
- Strong background in building and maintaining stakeholder/hiring manager relationships.
- Excellent collaborative skills with a proactive, results-oriented approach.
- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively under project deadlines.
- Proficient in applicant tracking systems, social media, and recruitment process workflows.
- Demonstrated experience in creative resource planning and targeted candidate attraction for large projects.
