Responsibilities:
As a Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Leading yield/scrap/OTD problem-solving initiatives while collaborating with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Technology, and Quality.
- Driving a structured problem-solving approach (Shainin FACTUAL / Red X, Six Sigma, etc..) to establish an investigation strategy.
- Acting as a change agent for “Y to X” paradigms of statistical problem-solving throughout the plant through interaction with upper-level management.
- Utilizing analytical & data-based tools to determine the root cause of production issues, define corrective actions, and hand them to the process owner.
- Presenting project status updates to key stakeholders. Communicate progress, roadblocks, and support needed.
- Conducting cost analysis and savings to determine return on investment for projects.
- Leveraging project sponsors to help drive project priority and pace.Designing confirmation tests to prove X
- ->Y relationship between root cause and desired outcome with pre-defined risk
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering field (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, etc..) or Physics from an accredited university
- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience
- Demonstrate computer skills and be familiar with MS Office
- Have the ability to coordinate several projects concurrently
- Have proven experience in problem-solving and failure analysis using statistical tools like Shainin and/or Six Sigm
