Description:

Job Overview :
Responsible for the design, integration, commissioning, and maintenance of automation systems on marine vessels, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project timelines. This role involves technical leadership, project management, and close collaboration with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities :
System Design & Development :
- Lead the design and documentation of marine automation systems, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
- Develop system architecture, functional specifications, and interface controls.
System Integration :
- Oversee integration with onboard systems (e.g., propulsion, power management) and ensure seamless communication using marine protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus).
Commissioning & Testing :
- Manage FAT, SAT, and HAT processes; troubleshoot and resolve issues during system commissioning.
Maintenance & Support :
- Provide ongoing system maintenance and technical support; develop maintenance schedules.
Project Management :
- Lead automation projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget; coordinate with stakeholders and report on project status.
Compliance & Safety :
- Ensure compliance with marine regulations and safety standards; conduct risk assessments.
Customer Liaison :
- Act as the primary technical contact for clients; conduct training and technical presentations.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Automation, or related field).
- 5-7 years of experience in marine automation systems.
- Proficient in marine communication protocols and control systems (PLC, SCADA).
Strong project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.Familiarity with marine regulations and standards.
