In this role, you’ll manage institutional and cross-function initiatives to support compensation strategy as well as oversee compensation consulting and analysis services to the organization including the development and implementation of St. Jude compensation programs, reward strategies, competitive market analysis, equity programs, and related HR programs and projects. You will lead the development of new compensation programs and identify and develop improvements to existing compensation programs while providing leadership within the HR department ensuring all processes are efficient, highly automated, and proactive. You may be asked to lead and develop a team of compensation analysts.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:

Bachelor’s degree required.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

Lead Compensation Analyst :

Minimum Requirement: 5+ years of experience handling compensation activities.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing compensation/remuneration survey processes and performing complex reporting and data/trend analyses.
  • Some experience in planning and managing delivery in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) including Google Sheets Slides; Experience with Microsoft Access, preferred.
  • Some experience mentoring people.
  • Proven performance in earlier roles leading projects from creation to completion

Senior Compensation Analyst

  • Minimum Requirement: 4+ years of experience handling compensation activities or 2+ years’ experience in compensation and 2+ years’ experience in HR, Finance, or data analytics roles.
  • Some experience in modeling compensation programs and/or other financial models is preferred.
  • Experience supporting audits, and surveys and performing complex reporting and analyses.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) including Google Sheets Slides; Experience with Microsoft Access, preferred.
  • Proven performance in earlier roles.

Responsibilities:

  • Excel Proficiency: Utilize Excel daily, including basic functions such as formula development, pivot table creation, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, conditional formulas, ASAP utilities, data visualization, filtering, and data merging. Employ advanced functions like nested IF statements, data modeling and interpretation, macros, array formulas, and dashboard creation.
  • Job Evaluation and Market Pricing: Leverage expertise from JD experts and Compensation Analysts for job evaluations and market pricing analysis.
  • Presentation Development: Create and deliver PowerPoint presentations tailored for various audiences, including executive teams, management, and employees.
  • Workday Utilization: Efficiently use Workday for job profile creation and updates, reporting, and other HR tasks.
  • Job Architecture: Develop and maintain job architecture frameworks within the organization.
  • Job Offer Review: Conduct comprehensive reviews of job offers to ensure alignment with organizational standards and market competitiveness.
  • Merit Process Management: Oversee and manage the merit increase process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Salary Grade Structure Management: Review and adjust salary grade structures to maintain internal equity and market competitiveness.
  • Job Description Management: Develop and manage job descriptions to accurately reflect roles and responsibilities within the organization.
