EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High School or GED required; college degree preferred
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong communication required to provide excellent customer service.
- Displays an important level of confidentiality for both customer and company.
- Possess a desire to serve the customer, and the skills to engage with various levels of personnel.
- Demonstrates computer proficiency and possess intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite of software. Possess strong analytical skills to reconcile various reports, be detailed oriented and a problem solver.
- Work primarily at customer sites, in office environment to include cubicles and/or in and around shipping/receiving docks, stock rooms, storage locations and laboratory environments. Depending on area of building, personal protective equipment may be worn to include lab coats, coveralls, hood, facemask, hairnets, safety gloves, and safety glasses, steel toe shoes, bump hats and/or safety glasses.
- Extensive walking may be required.
- Will be able to consistently lift, push, and pull 30-40 pounds; occasional lifting of 50 pounds using equipment like pushcarts, pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.
- Able to work overtime.
Responsibilities:
- Acts as a liaison between customer, sales, suppliers, logistics and management. Listens to customer concerns, diffuses dissatisfaction and quickly identifies course of action with a goal of first call resolution.
- Represents organization throughout customer locations with a professional demeanour.
- Assist staff with workload to meet performance standards at customer site, by covering for absent employees, vacant positions, or increases in employee’s workload.
- Assists in training of new hire employees and cross training of existing staff. Promotes growth and development by staying abreast of new policies and improvements. Practical Process Improvement (PPI) methodologies. Be the subject matter authority on defined procedures as outlined by Best Practices, SOP’s & work instructions.
- Collect, analyze and reconciles various data to support the maintenance of records.
- Performs stockroom duties to include receiving, put-away, stock rotation, cycle counts, daily replenishment and disbursements using handheld scanning devices or inventory management system.
- Performs duties as assigned by management.
