Role Overview
As Lead Software Engineer, you will contribute to the architecture and the development of critical systems that support our drone delivery operations. This role spans multiple domains including airspace utilisation, ground control systems, order management, and integration with partner platforms. You’ll be responsible for building robust, scalable solutions that form the backbone of our drone delivery ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Architecture

• Design and architect scalable, fault-tolerant systems handling real-time drone operations
• Contribute to critical technical decisions about infrastructure, frameworks, and development practices
• Establish technical standards, best practices, and architecture patterns
• Lead and mentor software engineers

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years industry experience
• Strong expertise in our core tech stack:
• Backend: Java, Spring Framework, Python, C++
• Frontend: TypeScript, React, React Native
• Database: PostgreSQL
• Cloud Services: AWS
• Track record of leading successful technical projects and mentoring engineers
• Strong understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms
• Experience with real-time systems and location-based services
