We seek an experienced Software Development Lead who enjoys the challenge of building new and exciting software solutions for businesses at all stages from start-up to enterprise.
We put customer experience at the heart of our approach. The ideal candidate will therefore need to have a strong affinity for product and service design and an understand of how software and technology is an enabler for positive user behaviour change.
Role: Software Development Lead
Reporting to: Technology Director
Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 dependent on experience and level of seniority
Location: London based office, with support for remote and flexible working

REQUIREMENTS:

As Software Development Lead at Palladium you will be responsible for:

  • Lead a team of local and off-shore developers, delivering a variety of projects for external clients and our own internal SaaS platform.
  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable applications using a variety of technologies including Cloud Native, Node.js React, GraphQL, and Ruby.
  • Role model code quality, testing, and automation.
  • Improve our technical delivery process, enabling projects to be delivered at a higher standard with less effort.
  • Guide the team to decisions on tooling and fundamental architectural choices of the application.
  • Mentor junior developers and help grow their capability and capacity.
  • Grow the development team and take the lead on talent identification and selection.
  • Communicate with external clients and customers, gathering feedback and coordinating delivery plans.

Skills

  • Autonomous, proactive technical leader.
  • Strong experience of designing and building web applications in cloud.
  • Experience with Node.js, Ruby on Rails, React, GraphQL.
  • Full stack development (UI, API, Service, Storage).
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, Git based versioning systems and CI/CD, automated functional and integration tests.
  • Good understanding of NoSQL and relational databases.
  • Good understanding of Agile methodologies including Scrum.
  • Experience: 6-8 years.
