Responsibilities:
POSITION PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Director of Risk Management, the incumbent is responsible for the development, planning, organization, coordination, execution, and continuous improvement of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF) and all risk activities at the University. The Manager translates strategies into program plans and deliverables to support the achievement of program objectives while promoting service excellence. They ensure collaboration among key stakeholders, establish processes and procedures that optimize resources, and are responsible for the program’s overall success.
IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Develop, implement, enhance, and maintain ERM processes (risk assessment, risk metrics, risk mitigation, monitoring, risk appetite, loss events, reporting, control testing, etc.) to strengthen the risk culture, improve efficiency, ensure risk-based decisions, and support compliance with legal, regulatory and governance requirements.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders (risk champions and senior management), faculties, and services to understand their strategic priorities and the specific risks to achieve those objectives.
- Plan, coordinate, and perform risk assessments for processes and projects.
- Identify and monitor actions to enhance the control environment and mitigate risks in accordance with the University’s risk appetite.
- Plan and facilitate risk workshops to help the University identify and define its most significant risks, risk mitigation strategies, risk appetite, key risk indicators (KRIs), and emerging risks.
