Position Type: Regular Part-Time
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Ability to read, write and communicate the English language.
- Ability to perform frequent walking and /or standing, kneeling or squatting relieved by lesser periods of sitting or operating a vehicle.
- Ability to operate a cash register.
- Ability to perform routine mathematical computations.
Working Conditions; Work is performed in a normal store environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather.

Responsibilities:
- Plans, schedules and assigns work of Store Clerks; instructs employees on proper methods.
- Assists customers purchasing items by utilizing the cash register; counts change and prepares receipts, balances the cash drawer and runts routine register print outs, prepares band deposits.
- Prepares, processes and maintains various sales records, tax forms, and social service vouchers; prepares routine sales reports as directed.
- Ensures the store displays are properly prepared and maintained; supervises and participates in the rotation of stock as directed; ensures all items are returned to the proper location after customers have handled.
- Assists customers by explaining store policy and responding to questions regarding the pricing and/or purchasing of items.
- Cleans all display racks and shelves; sweeps and mops floors; ensures that the store is maintained in a clean and inviting manner.
- Assists with pricing and tagging items in the store in accordance with established procedures.
