Description:

KNOW HOW/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to care for young children in a group setting
  • Ability to work with others as a team
  • High School Diploma
  • Degree in Early Childhood Education or CDA preferred
  • Infant/ Child/ Adult CPR and First aid (30 days post hire)
  • Core Curriculum Training (60 days post hire)
  • Negative TB Test (every two years)
  • Minimum age 18 years old
  • Able to pass multiple-screen drug test

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lifting up to 50 lbs,
  • Bending, stooping, sitting on floor or in child sized chairs
  • Diapering and Assisting with toileting
  • Climbing, reaching, running
  • Carrying or holding a child up to 50 lbs
  • Pushing
  • Operating a computer
  • Swimming with children
  • Spending time outdoors during summer and winter months

Responsibilities:

  • Attend all required staff meetings and trainings
  • Completes required abuse risk management training. Adheres to policies and procedures in managing high-risk activities and appropriate boundaries of Reports suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations to supervisor. Follows mandated abuse reporting requirements to authorities.
