Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

As a Lead Technical Program Manager, you will be a key member of the Program Management Office (PMO) leadership team and will influence the broader strategic and operational needs within the PMO. This position provides skilled Program and Project leadership to plan, manage and deliver all aspects of one or more large, technical and complex Program(s) / Project(s), crossing multiple disciplines. Key success factors for this role are a track record and passion for leading and delivering Program(s) and Project(s) on-time, on-budget and to scope specifications. This is a lead PM role in a matirx management environment where strong leadership, training and mentoring of less expereinced PM’s is required.

THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborating with directors, and leads within the PMO and across groups.
  • Synthesize disparate information into clear recommendations, actions and decisions.
  • Provides technical direction to engineering projects and services in an assigned area, from design to start-up.
  • Lead to ensure that the project is on schedule, is high quality, is within budget, and meets the measures of success (MOS) and the high-level achievements (HLA).
  • Oversee and mitigate risks across technical functional lanes to ensure that project meets agreed upon MOS and HLAs.
  • Lead and maintain client/stakeholder partnership to ensure overall satisfaction.
  • Oversee the end-to-end execution of technical programs, ensuring clear goals, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
  • Identify and manage program risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Facilitate cross-team collaboration to resolve roadblocks and align on priorities.
  • Drive continuous process improvements to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develops methodologies, procedures, and systems to produce financial reporting.
  • Acts as project team leader.
  • Maintain knowledge in several of the following: technical architecture and solution creation, software development lifecycle management in mainframe, midrange and three tier architecture, software testing methodology, production deployment, development, and requirements management.
