Description:
Design Delivery Lead
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced designer and Figma ninja to join a leading fintech Company that specialises in SaaS solutions to the accounting industry. We make software that improve the lives of our customers and their end-clients.

We’re looking for a Lead UX Designer who is also versed in Design Thinking methodologies and experience managing the delivery of multi-project pixel-perfect mockups into development. You will coach a small team of designers within our growing design operation and will optimise the design delivery and quality control processes of the team, contribute to the design system, document product behaviour and grow our expertise in accessibility and responsive design.
This role suites people who:
Love to delve into complex processes and workflows and simplify them. Confident UX-writer with the ability to optimise micro-copy and create light product documentation. Comfortable listening and expressing their views in discussions with opinionated stakeholders and used to liaising with BAs and developers in Agile teams. A coaching mindset.
As a Lead you will shape the team culture and processes, as well as coach
designers and the wider business.
Key responsibilities
- Introduce healthy design production processes to increase the team’s efficiency
- Refine and deliver new features and products for our new cloud suite
- Own UI quality criteria around responsive behaviour, accessibility, consistency, micro-copy and Tone of Voice
- Help development teams to implement designs to the expected level of UX/UI quality
- Coach other designers and colleagues
- Plan, design and implement usability studies
- Iterate quickly within an agile process (we use SAFe)
- Build strong relationships with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Product Managers and Developers/QAs, as well as with other UX team members
- Champion UX across the business
Essential Skills (candidate must demonstrate)
- You must have a strong portfolio showing process and results
- Planning and facilitating successful design workshops
- People management experience
- Demonstrated user-testing capabilities
- Advanced Figma skills including branching and multi-contributors management, library management and product documentation planning and execution
- Producing user journeys, flows and mockups
- B2B workflow or other highly complex product design experience, with wireframes/prototypes you created yourself
- Deep understanding of UX principles
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in a UX design role
- Highly organised and can coach and lead others
- Empathic and systematic thinker
Desirable Skills
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum software delivery team
- Experience with UX analytics
- Development/visual/research/content design background
- Working with planning tools like JIRA
- Excellent level of English, both spoken and written (you’ll need to write micro-copy, document UX behaviours, present to all levels of staff, and engage with our UK customers).
