Responsibilities:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Valuation Specialist to join the Valuation Review Department within Shared Services Operations. This role provides a great opportunity to be involved in strategic transformation initiatives taking existing processes and functionality and enhancing them to create consistent, sustainable processes with reporting capabilities. Will act as a liaison with technology, business, and control to manage business-developed solutions for valuation review team platforms. Will partner with internal and external stakeholders provide defect/enhancement solutions, as well as business requirements.
This is a highly visible role where you will interact across LOBs, third parties, regulatory and state agencies along with executive leadership. You will be responsible for managing project implementation, and timelines for assigned efforts under the Vendor Oversight and Monitoring evolution efforts along with projects identified to further improve upon existing Valuation Review Department functions ensuring continued compliance with regulatory requirements. You will also provide technical subject matter expertise to partners inside and outside of the Valuation Oversight and Monitoring Team, including project leadership teams and various senior-level stakeholders.
In this role, you will:
- Lead team supporting Valuation Oversight and Monitoring (VOM) activities as part of the Valuation Review department
- Represent the bank by performing and overseeing appraiser state board reporting activities
- Responsible for prompt and accurate research and resolution of appraisal related bias complaint and inappropriate appraiser commentary activities
- Manage appraiser watch and exclusionary list
- Manage non-appraiser watch and exclusionary list
- Responsible for distribution and maintenance of WF watch and exclusionary lists to applicable parties
- Manage Advisory Panel activities including facilitating meetings
- Responsible for ensuring appropriate execution of VOM Controls
- Responsible for interacting with various levels of leadership including presenting to senior leaders and executives
- Work with internal and external partners to evolve VOM Collateral Management System functionality creating efficiencies in processes and effective reporting capabilities
- Facilitate employee management functions including training, performance monitoring activities and coaching
- Assume responsibility for ongoing evaluations of new equipment and equipment under lease to ensure values are accurate and the portfolio is sound for Valuations
- Research, evaluate and approve and recommend residuals and assist sales management in structuring transactions for markets, equipment and businesses
- Assist in planning, forecasting, researching and collection of all off lease equipment
- Resolve highly complex issues and lead team to meet project deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of the processes and risks involved
- Collaborate and consult with individuals, colleagues and management to resolve problems and achieve objectives
- Act as project leader or mentor for staff
