ABOUT US

Iron Embers Inc. is a small business in Guelph, ON. We have been building premium quality firepits since 2011, and have branched out to also include a range of general fabrication services.
We are looking for a qualified candidate that can fit in with our team, work with management to increase the overall skill level of the shop, while meeting (or beating) takt times.

Duties:

  • Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to determine project specifications
  • Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components using various welding techniques
  • Operate and maintain welding equipment
  • Perform welding tasks such as cutting, grinding, and polishing to prepare materials for fabrication
  • Use hand and power tools to measure, cut, shape, and fit metal components
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure finished products meet industry standards
  • Collaborate with team members to plan and prioritize work orders
  • Training other team members to increase their skillsets
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:

  • Up to date CWB Tickets (GMAW all positions, MCAW all positions)
  • Proven experience as a fabricator/welder, minimum 5 yrs
  • Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of welding techniques
  • Ability to operate forklifts, and other heavy machinery safely
  • Ironworker Machine experience is an asset
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
