QUALIFICATIONS
- Three or Four Year Bachelor Degree or Equivalent experience
- Educational background in nonprofit management or CFRE designation an asset
- Strong technical writing skills required
- Ability to work independently and use independent judgment to troubleshoot issues
- Effective communication skills, positive attitude, creative thinking and collaboration skills
- Strong organizational skills, effective at managing multiple priorities and working against deadlines
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
- Experience working with external and internal clients, donors, volunteers
- Research skills, ability to use and extrapolate data from RENXT
ADDITIONAL ESSENTIAL SPECIFIC SKILLS OR SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Experience working with databases, preferably RENXT or other CRM
- Expertise in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong time management skills and ability to multitask
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Willingness to engage new donors or alumni by phone or in-person
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Leadership Giving Officer is responsible for building and growing a leadership giving and annual giving pipeline which includes the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of annual giving donors with a focus on those at the leadership giving level. The Leadership Giving Officer (LGO) will also work with limited sponsorships, on-campus fundraising support, and grant applications. Working with the broader development team, the LGO will identify giving priorities and opportunities. Along with their face-to-face fundraising responsibilities the LGO will contribute to the overall work to engage, solicit and steward annual giving donors. The LGO is a member of the University Advancement team and reports to the Manager, Annual Giving and Gift Compliance.
This is a full time replacement term position, working 35 hours per week and ending at the conclusion of the 12-month term. This position also may require work outside of regular hours for event participation and stewardship activities.
RESPONSIBILITY 3 (25%): ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS
- Participating in regular fundraising meetings with colleagues and team meetings
- Managing prospect/donor relationships and maintaining contact history using RENXT CRM
- Stewardship report development and distribution for those donors on pipeline
- Completing gift processing paperwork and agreements for those donors on pipeline
