As the LEAN Leader at our Cork site, you will be part of a global team tasked with designing, adopting, and executing the LEAN transformation roadmap.
Pharmaceutical Diagnostics (PDx) is a world leader in producing imaging agents that enhance the quality of diagnostic images used to diagnose and monitor diseases. The Cork site is a key strategic manufacturing location for Fill & Finish operations, crucial to the PDx value stream.
Reporting to the ISC LEAN & Digital Director and as an active member on the Cork Site Leadership Team, your focus will be on transforming the Cork site into a model of LEAN excellence. This role is vital for driving the cultural change necessary to evolve GEHC PDx into a truly LEAN organisation. Hands-on experience in applying Lean principles and driving continuous improvement will be essential to your success in this critical leadership position.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in any technical or analytical domain with a preference for Supply Chain Manufacturing related degrees (Business, Economics, Engineering)
- Experience leading large Lean transformational rollout within complex systems, matrix organisations with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience in highly regulated industries. (cGMP)
- Proven success in leading significant business process improvement
- LEAN/Six Sigma trained with the ability to apply tools and process rigor.
- Proven successful application of Lean tools: 80/20, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Standard Work, FMEA, Problem Solving, Kanban, Visual Daily Management, Policy Deployment

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for partnering with site and business leaders to define the key streams that will have the greatest impact on the business and the customer.
- Serve as a change agent by influencing, communicating, and institutionalizing a culture of simplification and standardization.
- Coach Lean Manufacturing principles and behaviours to our plant leadership teams in the use of Lean tools and the simplification methodology to drive significant business impact.
- Develop Lean capabilities by training and coaching key team members to build Lean muscle within the organisation.
- Enhance of Operating system through the cultivation of our core 4 tools, (Daily Management, Standard Work, Problem Solving and Action plans).
- Support across all levels of the Lean Management System from ‘shop floor’ to executive level.
- Ensure proper training and coaching for effective daily management and a true “embrace the red” culture.
- Development and deployment of a Kaizen funnel required to achieve objectives for the year and/or as part of a multi-year program.
- Responsible for driving Lean Maturity levels across the Cork site as per the GE HC Lean Framework
