Description:
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- You have an Engineering degree, ideally professionally registered.
- You have 10-15 years of experience in technology development in a technical role. Ideally this should be with technologies similar to Svante.
- You have proven experience of advancing technology from an immature state to volume manufacturing.
- You have knowledge of Requirements capture, DFMEA, design verification plan and reports.
- You have experience with APQP, PPAP, or other product development quality frameworks.
Responsibilities:
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
As the Lean Methods Engineer (LME), you will facilitate the smooth running of the Product Development Process within the Product Engineering group. You are highly motivated to foster a lean methodology that enables the release and communication of engineering design that meets the intended requirements. This will allow the engineering team to focus their talents on Svante’s world leading technology and not on intricate controls or processes.
You will translate the input from all levels of the engineering team to create the standard documentation and processes the business needs to support the Product team (requirements, goals, priorities, enterprise change assessments, change gate progression, validation records, etc.). You will also take the initiative to remove clerical or procedural barriers from the team and help make our processes lean and efficient.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN THIS ROLE
- You will support the implementation of Aras PLM providing best practice processes and through auditing of workflows ensuring process intent is achieved.
- You will establish a Requirements capture process and application using Aras PLM tools.
- You will foster process for review and application of design for manufacturing and design for assembly principals.
- You will contribute to the drawing standards to meet the requirements of product design, supply chain, operations, and manufacturing.
- You will work closely with the manufacturing engineering team, Quality and Global Supply Chain supplier to ensure design processes support full lifecycle activities.
