Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Manager
Your role and responsibilities
We are now looking for a new Lean and Transformation Specialist to join our team at IEC LV Motors in Vaasa. In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive the deployment of the continuous improvement strategy for a local organizational unit, including promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement through Lean and TPS (Toyota Production System) principles. You will also showcase your expertise by deploying and leading projects to improve and sustain local business performance. This role will be integral to the future success of the IEC LV Motors.
The work model for the role is: #LI-onsite with some remote work possibilities.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Leading project team/s to improve critical organizational processes that improve quality, safety and customer service. Role plans and manages major organizational process improvements utilizing Six Sigma and Lean tools and methodology together with stakeholders.
  • Giving input to the development and execution of comprehensive transformation strategy and methodology aligned with the organizational goals and vision. You will promote out-of-the-box thinking and continuously generate new ideas to improve processes, service, safety, inventory, cost and space
  • Serving as a Lean Coach and Practitioner enabling the unit to take the needed steps in developing lean capabilities and behaviors through-out the organization, not only in production but also in office processes

Qualifications for the role

  • Extensive (over 5 years) experience with working with Lean within a process improvement environment
  • Lean or similar certification, or experience implementing continuous improvement principles in production environments/organizations (e.g., Business Agility, Lean management techniques, Six Sigma certification, etc.)
  • Demonstrated track record of operational process analysis, re-design, and realized benefits across a diverse set of functional capabilities and programs.
  • Fluency in Finnish and good English, both written and spoken
  • Self-motivated, prone to action, autonomous and results-oriented with ability to lead multiple complex initiatives (short, mid and long-term) with impact
  • Relevant education that will support your work in this role
  • Swedish skills are seen as a benefit
