REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A master’s degree in Human Resources or similar qualification
  • 7 years of experience as an L&D Specialist (or similar)
  • Exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Public speaking skills
  • Experience in delivering trainings and learning interventions
  • Ability to understand priorities and work efficiently under pressure and subject to changing priorities
  • Team spirit
  • Management skills
  • Proactive, approachable, and receptive to change
  • Digitally literate with proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with a range of e-learning platforms
  • Experience in project management, budgeting
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills; with a demonstrated ability to build rapport with employees and vendors
  • Up to date with the latest L&D developments (theory and technology) and best practices; able to articulate these clearly and confidently to other team members

Responsibilities:

  • Creating training programs that are aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives
  • Working closely with various leaders across the organization to design curriculums for all employees that focus on core values, strategic imperatives, upskilling requirements, and just-in-time learning
  • Providing curriculums that incorporate different styles of training techniques, including e-learning, tutorial sessions, coaching or job-shadowing
  • Support employees’ growth and developing their knowledge, skills, and capabilities to drive better business performance
  • Assessing, benchmarking, and reporting the effectiveness of training programs
  • Promoting training opportunities to employees within the company
  • Liaising with other stakeholders to assess training requirements, tracking of budgets, and negotiating contracts
  • Supporting staff and management with tailored learning opportunities during operational change
  • Building relationships with third-party training providers to ensure that the organization has access to the most fit-for-purpose L&D technology available
  • Prepare co-funding request for in-company training that is submitted annually to the Ministry of Education
  • Managing the onboarding program
  • Driving annual learning strategies
  • Managing the Learning budger (define budget needs and ensure costs follow up)
  • Managing the Talent Development team
  • Maintaining current knowledge of L&D innovation, best practices, and future trends
  • Ensure regular reporting
